So, when I was in grade school, I was somewhat traumatized by a really (and might I add *really*!!) bad, short haircut. Thus, ever since grade 4, I've been "growing it out". And, I've never gotten more than 3 inches cut off at one time, with usually a year or so between haircuts.
But, lately, I've been feeling like it was time for a change. I'd been cutting my own hair lately, and I took 2 inches off about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't very satisfied. I was looking for something bigger, something different.
Today just felt like the right time for it. So, I found myself a nice salon in Kingston, Ontario, and signed myself up for a haircut. Amy (at the James Brett Salon) did an *excellent* job and spent an hour and a half talking it over with me and cutting my hair in increments. All in all, over 6 inches came off, for a grand total of 8 in the last 2 weeks. Who-hoo! I feel very free.
